Google has introduced multifaceted featured snippets to its mobile search results. Multifaceted featured snippets may appear if a user types in a search query that could be interpreted as having several different meanings. For example, if they search for “pain in my foot”, they might be searching for causes or remedies. In scenarios like this, several featured snippets will now display, showing each question that Google thinks the user might have intended. Each potential question will have its own answer. Google hopes that this will make it easier for users to find the answer they are looking for, even if their search query was not particularly clear. The feature is currently only available on mobile for multi-intent queries, but the search engine plans to expand this to desktop queries and other types of searches in the future.
