Facebook has updated its advertising policies to clamp down on discrimination. This means that if you're running Facebook adverts on employment, housing or credit, you must make sure that they do not discriminate against so-called “personal attributes”. This list of attributes covers “race, ethnicity, colour, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, disability, medical [and] genetic condition”. Facebook has rolled out machine learning to help it to identify and remove any adverts that break these rules.
